I was asked recently if I would spend a few hours hanging out in a park photographing Krystina and her two baby cousins, who are two years old, and 5 months old, as a gift for their Grandmothers birthday. It was a really fun time and I'm sure their Grandmother will love the present. - Jess

Finally! Jess and I have had a chance to shoot Alex and Kim on two separate occasions leading up to their big day, so we were so excited when Friday came around. They were no doubt posing pro's after our other sessions and knew exactly what to do. Their ceremony was held at Crosswinds Golf and Country Club which provided a beautiful backdrop to their outdoor ceremony. The sun shined for us all day long which was just perfect! These are just a few of our favorites.

Jess and I spent yesterday afternoon with the lovely Laura and equally lovely David, who were so much fun to shoot with. Despite what they said about not knowing what to do in photos, it was definitely not true as everything turned out so perfectly. They were wonderful sports and fulfilling many of our dreams by getting their feet wet, climbing over fences to get to tall grass and lying down in "unknown" pastures. :) Thank you guys!
We also liked this post as it really shows how Jess and I shoot together. We think two cameras are better than one, as while I am shooting the more posed shots, Jess gets so many great candid moments from all different angles. We love sitting down at the end of the day to see our different perspectives which makes for such great variety.

Jess and I had so much fun yesterday with Jen and Terry at their beautiful backyard celebration in High Park. The weather was perfect for the late afternoon ceremony and all the wonderful details from the cool blues, seashells and tall glasses of lemonade made us feel as if we were perfectly beachside. Joanne from Sorbet Events did an absolutely amazing job! Here are some of our favorites from the day.

I had such a good time this past week. I went home to Manitoba to visit my family for my sister Kaitie's high school graduation. I took lots of photos throughout the day of Kaitie and her boyfriend/escort Kyle. I also got to see my little Niece Tory, who I just love taking pictures of. She just keeps on growing every time I see her, its amazing. - Jess

Last weekend I had the chance to spend Saturday and Sunday shooting alongside Andreas Avdoulos for andreas&associates. Andreas is world renowned, known for his stunning documentary style and his images more than speak for themselves. Both weddings were absolutely beautiful and I had such a wonderful time. Recently Jess and I went to Oakville to spend the afternoon with Alex and Kim. The day we did their first engagement session it poured rain! The photographs turned out beautifully but we wanted a chance to ditch the jackets and umbrellas and take a stroll in the sun. This also gave us a nice opportunity to see our locations for the day of the wedding which is just around the corner.

Yesterday we spent the day in Utopia, Ontario with Larisa and Brad. Their wedding was held at Camp Saulaine, which is surrounded by the lushest trees and is right on the river. Needless to say, it could not have been more picture perfect! Here are some of our favorites!

Today Jess and I had a busy busy day. It was our last full day in Manitoba, as well as 32 degrees outside, so we made our rounds to say goodbye and take some photos along the way. First we visited once more with little Tory and took some photos of her and her mom Nicole. It is mothers day on Sunday so this will be a nice token to have in celebration. Next we had a quick visit with Ben and his wife Katie who are just visiting from Chicago and thought it would be fun to have some photos done around their home town. After that we headed down to the Foster Farm to take some photos around their beautiful property. There were dogs, horses, cows and one little fearless cowboy, who showed us who was boss. Tomorrow we head back to Toronto and then Kingston on Saturday for Tracy and Steve's wedding. Look for updates then!

Yesterday Jess and I spent the day in Regina, Saskatchewan for Aaron and Kelli's wedding. We spent most of afternoon taking photos at the Legislative building which was absolutely beautiful inside and out and then headed back to the church for an evening ceremony. We had a wonderful time with these two and a nice little vacation from Toronto. Here are a few (We had to stop ourselves from posting TOO many) favorites from the day. Enjoy!

On Saturday night, Tracy and friends celebrated at the Grand Hotel for her Bachlorette party. Tracys wedding is less than a month away and all the girls wanted to get together for one last night before the big day. I had such a great time shooting and had to fly solo on this occassion, as there was definitely no boys allowed!

Yesterday Jess and I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with three sisters who are all joyously expecting within weeks of one another. We had such a great time with them and this little darling who was definitely not camera shy!

I had a great Sunday morning photographing Kourtney and her hilarious younger brother Karson. He definitely kept us all entertained! These are a gift for their Moms birthday which is right around the corner. I can't wait to hear what she thinks!

I just found another shot of Tory and it was so cute that I had to post. Jess and I will be headed to Manitoba to shoot a wedding the first week of May, so we will get to see this little darling then, although I bet she won't be so little anymore.

Today I got an email asking if Jess and I would shoot something if it was not a wedding so I wanted to let everyone know that the answer is yes! We both do a ton of other photography apart from weddings and love shoot everything and anything. The email was specifically inquiring if we could shoot little tots and couples so feel free to email us your ideas!

Proofs, proofs and more proofs!
Over the past few weeks we have been running off so many proofs, that I thought it might be nice to take a photo of the finished product. With each wedding we shoot, we offer a set of 4x6 proofs that come in a customized wooden box. There are usually between 300 - 400 selected prints within and a collage of assorted photographs that frame the top of the box perfectly! We thought everything looked so great that we wanted to share!

Winter is the new spring!
Jess and I spent this mild and slightly overcast (perfect for photos!) day with Julija and Zanis. Their ceremony was held at the beatufiul St Andrew's Latvian Lutheran Church in downtown Toronto. The brightly coloured bride and the cowboy boot clad groom were an absolute delight. Although, we were sad to say we did not stick around along enough to see all the sombreros come out! We wish them all the best in their future together. They're absolutely adorable!

Christmas time on the Westcoast!
I am in beautiful British Columbia visiting my family over the holidays and taking tons of photos. I almost forgot how amazing this province is. My best friend Ben and I had a chance to meet up with his wonderful girlfriend Elisa and shoot down at English Bay, one of the many amazing beaches here. I can't believe it is December and we were able to take our shoes off and go walking in the sand. There is no date booked for these two yet, but the day it happens, Jess and I will be so excited to be there!

While home visiting my family in Manitoba over the Christmas holidays, I had the chance to hang out with my good friend Aaron and his beautiful fiance Kelli and we did their engagement photos. Vanessa and I are booked to photograph their wedding in Saskatchewan on May 5th. Congratulations you guys, We can't wait to shoot your wedding. You're so cute together!

Andrew and Sayema had a beautiful and intimate ceremony in their home with a small group of close friends and relatives present. I know that they both encountered many obstacles while trying to make this day happen, so it was wonderful to see it finally take place! They both looked so happy and despite the rain in the morning, the bad weather let up and we got a chance to take some beautiful photos of the couple before heading to the reception, joining over 300 guests! Congratulations you two!

Zara and Hubert eloped spontaniously while on vacation in New York City exactly 8 months ago. Today they held another beautiful celebration with friends and family present at Casa Mendoza on the windy lakeshore. Jess and I had a wonderful time running in traffic up and down University Avenue, photographing beautiful monarch butterflys as they were released in the air and capturing the fluttering feet of the lovely flamenco dancers. It was a wonderful day! Zara and Hubert were an absolute delight to work with. We wish them all the best!

We are celebrating a little early this time around! Jess and I just got back from Courtney and Rahims engagement party where friends and family gathered to give their blessings and well wishes to the newly engaged couple. We will be there for their big day taking place exactly a year from today in Ottawa and we can't wait!
