Monday, October 20th, 2008 - Janice + Jason
Janice and Jason got married on October 4th at St. James Cathedral with a wonderful reception to follow at the Rosewater Supper Club. Janice and Jay were one of our first bookings for 2008 and we have had a chance to get to know them and their families quite well now after various photo shoots leading up to this day. Janice got ready at the King Edward Hotel and then walked with her mother and father to the church, which was just a block away. She looked absolutely stunning and like her, we could not wait to see Jay's reaction which was pretty priceless. The rain held off for us to spend some time running around King Street to photograph these two and then headed back to the reception for the rest of the wonderful evening. It almost felt like this day would never come but all the waiting was worth it. We are so delighted that we got to be part of their day and spend even more time with their loving families.

Wednesday, October 15th, 2008 - Ellen + Young-Rae
Ellen and Young-Rae got married on Saturday, September 27th at the Korean Central Presbyterian Church on a wonderfully gloomy day. (Being a Vancouverite I love the rain!) Jess and I had a chance to do their engagement photos this summer, so we had really been looking forward to this day. Ellen and Young-Rae are just so sweet and wonderfully shy but we knew they would be pros on their day, which was entirely perfect. The church was so bright, filled song and two hilarious pastors, one of which was conducting her very first ceremony. She kept apologizing about being nervous and had to be reminded by Ellen to include the kiss which she forgot. It was so cute. After the ceremony we headed to a lunch reception where Ellen changed into a beautiful traditional Korean dress so they could spend some time chatting with friends and family. We then headed off to Lakeshore for photos where they were up for anything from getting into the sand, climbing rocks in bare feet and not worrying about keeping things white! :) We had such a memorable day with these guys and were so lucky share it with them.

Tuesday, October 14th, 2008 - Shira + Cory
Shira and Cory got married at the Beth Shalom Synagogue on Sunday, September 21st on a gorgeous fall day. These two had a beautiful ceremony just as the sun was setting, letting all the great light come into the synagogue. Shira's brother was a talented musician and provided the music for the ceremony, even playing the clarinet as he was coming down the isle which was wonderful. Shira and Cory had a great sense of humour that filled their reception and much dancing to follow. We had such a nice day with them.
